Memorial website in the memory of your loved one

This memorial website was created in the memory of our beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and mentor, Papa James Ajueyitsegbemi Esiele who was born in Abraka, Nigeria on January 13, 1922. Papa spent his early childhood in Urhovie, Abraka, where he attended Catholic Primary School and CMS primary School. He went on to attend Ziks Academy Secondary School where he graduated with flying colors! He worked in middle management in the Forestry Department in Benin for a few years, after which he proceeded to qualify as a Certified Accountant. He then took up his first of many well renowned positions as a BURSAR at Baptist High School, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Papa variously held the position of Bursar at Agbor Baptist Girls High School, Agbor, Baptist High School, Benin, and Chude Girls Grammar School, where he became popularly known as, CHUDE BURSAR! His esteemed position as Bursar brought him into contact with students from all over the country, quite a few in eminent positions today, including a King, the Ovie of Abraka, H.R.H Luke Erenede Ejohwomu.

After a full and fulfilling career in the education system, Papa Esiele retired and launched into the Timber business. He became quite an accomplished and successful timber magnate. His business interests spanned most of the southern region of Nigeria, including, but not limited to, Abonima, Okrika, and most of present day Bayelsa State.
In 1998, Papa relocated to the United States and lived with his daughter, Rita Esiele until he was called to glory on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010.

In his heyday, Papa was an accomplished athlete. He made his mark in the old Mid-Western State, in the 440 and High jump! Papa was also a skilled professional Ballroom Dancer, specializing in the Foxtrot! He was fondly called “JASCORE”, for his smooth footwork in dance!

Papa is survived by his beloved wife, Madam Patience E. Esiele, 12 children, namely, Ms. Onome Esiele, Mrs. Otaroghene Nana, Mr. Gbemi Esiele, Mrs. Eferoghene Agyare, Mrs. Joanna Aghedo, Engr. Rita Ufuoma Esiele, Mr. Aghogho Esiele, Mr. Phillip Esiele, Ms. Eseroghene Esiele, Mrs. Ejiroghene Imagoro, Ms. Vivian Esiele, and Ms. Onajite Esiele. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and his sons and daughter-in-law, namely: Mr. Felix Nana, Mr. John Aghedo, Mr. Akwasi Agyare, Mr. Victor Imagoro, and Mrs. Adunba Esiele. Venerable Papa Esiele is also survived by nieces, nephews, and numerous adopted children in the US and worldwide.
